I thought it would be dark and even sad but seeing everything from the eyes of a child gives you a very different perspective on what is going on in the book, and ultimately makes you look at your own problems a little differently. Maybe a little simpler.

Quite a good read. I've already handed the book off to a friend to make them read it.TeiraMariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08348575759666146375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3550442581033925254.post-38939237659326076432011-05-20T03:44:42.518+01:002011-05-20T03:44:42.518+01:00Glad you read Room Teira! Interesting, the author is UK based, usually when I read these books they are about the US so it is interesting to see another side of it.

Next I'll be reading The Help or The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night but you've read both of those.

When I get back to Canada I'm going to read Kafka on the Shore, a book club book that I had to skip because I didn't have time to read it, but I heard it was quite good. Eli also recently suggested The Fountainhead which I will look for as well.

That is all right now. ha.TeiraMariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08348575759666146375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3550442581033925254.post-68653243653035650372011-05-18T19:00:39.620+01:002011-05-18T19:00:39.620+01:00Just finished "Cutting for Stone" by Abr...Just finished "Cutting for Stone" by Abraham Verghese and would highly recommend it. http://www.amazon.ca/Cutting-Stone-Abraham-Verghese/dp/0307357783Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10358726710625515592noreply@blogger.com
