Yes, very British. Its pieces of triangular fabric hung together like a garland. A summer thing, hung outside...taken from Naval bunting/flags. Very cute. No knitting these days, more of a winter thing me thinks- have my scarf still waiting for me!
Ah, exactly. My take on "bunting" has always been very light-weight, flag-like pieces of fabric. Didn't know about the tradition of hanging triangle shapes like a garland though ... I love it!
So cool. We don't use the word "bunting" in reference to fabric much do we? Is that very British though? Assume so. Keep us posted on the project!
