It's that time again- book time!
I enjoyed your comments from last time about which books you are currently reading, so make sure to comment again all you blog fans out there ;)
I'm currently reading the top two books, "One Day" and "The Berlin Wall". The other two books look interesting, but they are just on the shelf waiting. "One Day" is taking me forever to read, but so far I am enjoying it. It's a book I've seen many people reading on the train lately- so it must be worth reading right?
After seeing the Berlin wall I was interested in learning a bit more about it all. I took this book out from the library, and its pretty huge. So far so good. How ever I've not even got to the wall bit yet, just the many years leading up to it.
What are you reading?

  1. Just finished "Cutting for Stone" by Abraham Verghese and would highly recommend it. http://www.amazon.ca/Cutting-Stone-Abraham-Verghese/dp/0307357783

  2. Recently read One Day, I think I've warmed to it but I found it somewhat simplistic in the end.

Most recently finished reading Room which I enjoyed a great deal.

Currently reading Living Dolls: The Return of Sexism, which is obviously non-fiction. Interesting, the author is UK based, usually when I read these books they are about the US so it is interesting to see another side of it.

Next I'll be reading The Help or The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night but you've read both of those.

When I get back to Canada I'm going to read Kafka on the Shore, a book club book that I had to skip because I didn't have time to read it, but I heard it was quite good. Eli also recently suggested The Fountainhead which I will look for as well.

That is all right now. ha.

  3. Glad you read Room Teira! Quite a read isn't it?

  4. Ya, I really enjoyed it. I thought it would be dark and even sad but seeing everything from the eyes of a child gives you a very different perspective on what is going on in the book, and ultimately makes you look at your own problems a little differently. Maybe a little simpler.

Quite a good read. I've already handed the book off to a friend to make them read it.
