14/3/12- Page turning

I think blogging about books is one of my fave parts of this blog- not only do I get to share what I am reading, but most importantly I get to hear what YOU are reading which I love.

I've just put in an Amazon order with a few books that you, my lovely readers, have suggested. In the meantime here is what's sitting on my shelf.

I've not started reading this yet, but I am very interested to see what its like.

I've just finished 'Watching Willow Watts' by the lovely Talli Roland. I've had the chance to 'meet' Talli via twitter and her blog, so it was delightful reading one of her books.

Really interested to get stuck in with this book as I've heard a lot about it.

This months Oh Comely mag- YAY! I mentioned this mag in my last post here

One of the illustrations in this months Oh Comely. How cute (and true!).

So tell me- what are YOU reading?

  1. I've never seen or heard of these books but they sounds like good reads!
I'm not allowed to go on Amazon any time soon. When they suggest books that I may like I get so caught up with that I could really damage my bank account. Haha

  2. I'm still reading the second book in the series by George R. R. Martin - A Clash of Kings, luckily it is going a lot faster than the first book but it is a doosey. It is long and chalk full of detail, it is kind of similar to Lord of the Rings in that it is an epic story, good but kind of slow. HBO is coming out with the second season which matches the second book starting in April and I want to finish the book before I watch the show.

That said, I have lined up The Sisters' Brothers by Patrick deWitt (Canadian author) lined up next then I'll move onto The Fault in our Stars by John Green which is teen lit. Then I'm hoping to read Jane Eyre. But we'll see how side tracked I get...

  3. Teaka, I know what you mean!

T, thanks for the new suggestions. I always like to see what you are reading as generally your books are different to what I would choose, but I always like your suggestions.
